Today was very productive- I went for my longest run yet (20 minutes without stopping is a BIG DEAL for me), I worked, then spent a few hours focusing on some long-term projects I’ve been meaning to tend to.
So by 6:30, I was not only wiped, but out of things to do.
I pulled out my sketchbook, found some inspirational Pinterest pins, and spent the next hour and a half working on this:
I started with the goal of making a set of eyes, as I usually just draw one. I also wanted to make them colored, since I haven’t done much experimenting with my fantastic Prismacolor pencils.
Then I started to add shading. And eyebrows.
And then I decided to attempt a major obstacle of drawing for me- the nose.
Then, on a whim, I added a freckle. I have the same freckle on my face.
I’m not sure if it looks like me, but I’m proud of it. Here’s to embracing challenges, no matter how small.
